Stronger together

Packard Area Planning Alliance (PAPA)

PAPA member neighborhoods include: Broad River, Courts of Woodhurst, Creighton Home, Fairfield, Fairfield Terrace Belmont, Fairmont, Foster Park, Harrison Hill, Hoagland Masterson, Illsley Place, Oakdale, Poplar, Sherwood Pettit, South Wayne, Southwood Park, West Rudisill, Williams Woodland, and Woodhurst.

The Packard Area Planning Alliance (PAPA) formed in 2005 as part of the City of Fort Wayne’s comprehensive planning efforts. The organization seeks to enhance quality of life for residents of the neighborhoods surrounding Packard Park. Seven neighborhoods were originally included as PAPA members, but the organization recently expanded its geographic boundaries to include 18 south central neighborhoods. Together, this group of community leaders is advocating for neighborhoods and engaging members of our community to enhance quality of life. Check out the PAPA website to learn more and follow the PAPA Facebook page to stay connected!

Southwest Area Partnership (SWAP)

SWAP is open to all neighborhoods west of Calhoun Street and south of Main Street.

The Southwest Area Partnership is one of four similar organizations representing quadrants of Fort Wayne. SWAP is dedicated to supporting and strengthening neighborhood associations in the southwest quadrant of Fort Wayne. It acts as a liaison between neighborhoods and city government, while also providing educational opportunities to members in their roles as neighborhood leaders.

Southwest Neighborhood Summit Alliance (SWNSA)

The Southwest Neighborhood Summit Alliance formed in 2015 from a suggestion by 5th District City Councilman Geoff Paddock following a contentious zoning disagreement between The Summit and nearby neighborhoods. SWNSA serves as a formal way for neighborhood leaders and Summit management to communicate, collaborate, and partner to achieve shared goals for the community. Members include representatives from the Fairmont, Foster Park, Illsley Pace, Oakdale, Southwood Park, and West Rudisill Neighborhoods, as well as the Packard Area Planning Alliance and the Summit (currently managed by VIA Development).
